Who we are
We are an educational initiative dedicated to helping South African teachers confidently integrate emerging technologies into their classroom practice. Our mission is to provide clear, accessible, and curriculum-aligned support that empowers teachers to deliver high-quality learning experiences in a rapidly changing digital world.
Our work is rooted in two key focus areas:
1. Coding and Robotics Education
We support teachers in understanding and implementing the CAPS Coding and Robotics curriculum from Grades R–9. Many educators face challenges such as limited training, resource constraints, and uncertainty about where to begin. Our goal is to make Coding and Robotics practical, achievable, and meaningful by offering simple explanations, low-tech and unplugged teaching strategies, and CAPS-aligned examples that work in diverse school contexts.
2. Artificial Intelligence in Life Sciences Education
We also aim to help teachers explore how AI tools and concepts can enhance teaching and learning in Life Sciences. This includes supporting teachers in using AI responsibly, developing digital literacy, and understanding how AI can transform inquiry-based learning and scientific thinking. Although this course is not part of the current project, it will be added as a separate learning module on this website in the future.
By combining these focus areas, our platform seeks to prepare teachers—and ultimately learners—to thrive in a world shaped by technology, creativity, and innovation. We believe that accessible, teacher-friendly digital learning resources can create meaningful change in South African classrooms and foster a culture of curiosity and problem-solving.
